seen it truly depends on my mood (and the media I choose to consume the story through but more on that later) how I'm going to rate the book. Clearly, I wasn't in the mood when I read After and therefore didn't enjoy it (obviously, that isn't the main reason why I disliked After so much) and I overlooked flaws in Save You because I was feeling it, it

intrigued me. That's the thing. The story drew me in. I fell for Ruby's and James' story and I honestly just want to see how they're gonna end up and want to see a happy ending. Like I said, I don't think it's fair to be so nit-picky with After, while this book also displays problematic relationships, violence and substance abuse to a young(-er) audience

(this is tagged as new adult, which I didn't even realise until I was reading some other reviews, I honestly thought that this was YA), but that's just how I feel. This is the kind of guilty pleasure I enjoy and while I know that it is questionable content, I still revel in it and want more. I often read about convenient plot lines and I try to spot them myself in

the books I read (that being said, I'm terrible at it, but you know at least I'm trying). I guess other people - people that are better at detecting convenient plot lines than me - would say that there are some (many?) to be found in Save You. Honestly .. I don't really care? Probably because I view this as a guilty pleasure read and as long as it entertains

me, I truly don't care about the convenience of the plot but I just want to warn you (in case someone is reading this, considering whether they want to read the book which I doubt but it's okay) Talking about the plot, I really don't have anything bad to say about it. It's not repetitive (looking at you After ) and actually quite interesting (on a guilty

pleasure read kind of level, I can't stress enough that this is a guilty pleasure read ) I definitely had my moments where I would talk to myself about what I thought was going to happen next and it turned out to be true.Before I started this review, I was sure that I was going to write about how the "plot wasn't as interesting and I didn't feel as sucked

in as I did as I did with book one" but thinking about it, that's not all that true. I still found myself looking for tasks that I can do while listening to the audiobook so I can go on with the story. I touched on it earlier, that the choice of media I chose for this story most definitely had an impact on how I liked this book and I just mentioned that I listened to

the audiobook version. I love audiobooks. Just to get that out of the way. But I actually found myself questioning if I would like this story the same if I had read it. Audiobooks are a comfortable and advantageous media. You can listen to them while you do chores, commute or do other things, have the audiobook running in the background and still

consume a story (and bump up your number of books read, I'm definitely guilty of doing that) It doesn't take as much brain capacity like reading with your eyes and I feel like I get fed up more easily with stories when I read them. It's almost like the book can be bad, if I've got access to the audiobook I'd still finish it (unless it's truly terrible) because I

can still do things while listening. Also to be mentioned, is that (at least for me) little details that may have annoyed the everliving crap out of me if I had read it, slip past me when I listen to audiobooks. Who knows, these things might have made a difference in my rating or they could have made me like this book more. Frankly, I don't know if I had
