Have your students write letters to a school in Santa Cruz’s Sister City in Alushta, Ukraine!

Santa Cruz students have been corresponding with kids in Alushta, Ukraine on the Crimean peninsula since the Cold War. Have kids learn about other cultures, and current events first hand through written correspondence.

Bay View 5th Grade teacher Renee Golder, and her kids Vince (4th grade) and Milan (2nd grade) are going on a delegation in March and will ensure your letters are delivered to a similar class. They will return with letters for your class after Spring Break.

Just use friendly letter format, put them in a large envelope with your name, grade level, and school on the outside and send them to Bay View, 1231 Bay Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060.
