process means that the company will move to new technologies, markets and networks that were 
previously unrelated, and the company's products (services) will be completely new. Second, 
diversification is related to the diversity of products produced by the enterprise, which increases 
the efficiency of its activities in the population, regardless of the product life cycle. 
Diversification covers only a wide range of opportunities, from a new area of domestic 
production ("narrow" diversification) to the penetration of other countries' industries ("broad" 
diversification)

In the process of analyzing the problem of diversification, it is expedient to distinguish 
two types: - Indirectly, the general factors are limited to the control of financial and commercial 
enterprises. This situation is typical for investment companies and production holding groups; - 
Occurs directly, when there are additional factors, such as technological know-how, marketing or 
a group of experts. On the basis of such a division, three processes (motives) of diversification 
can be distinguished;

1. Substitution - such a process is used for a combination of products and markets that 
have lost their validity or are "spiritually" obsolete, or in a highly competitive environment; 
2. Replenishment - this process is used for a saturated pre-created product-market 
combination that has reached maturity; 
Insurance is a process that can be used to overcome situations where the market is likely 
to collapse or where the market is expected to be saturated. It can be done by allocating 
investments and risks to all sectors of the enterprise.
Horizontal
diversification usually occurs when a company decides to expand its product 
range, taking into account the production cycle. For example, face cream manufacturers are 
starting to produce eye cream. Often a new product comes out under the same brand. The 
advantages of diversity are: 1. expansion of trade markets; 2. useful redistribution of free
