The following methods of the research were used: descriptive method, 
comparative method, componential analysis and cross-cultural analysis. 
The scientific novelty is defined by the following points: 
linguistic and extralinguistic factors of emerging language-related problems in 
the process of intercultural communication have been defined; 
classification of speech formulas and set expressions, which are used in 
intercultural communication due to different situations and pragmatic aims has 
been worked out; 
speech formulas and set expressions have been divided into different types 
due to their pragmatic and stylistic peculiarities as well as informational content of 
intercultural communication has been sorted into definite types; 
linguocultural discordances between Uzbek and English language units, 
speech formulas and phrases of intercultural communication have been 
enlightened; 
similarities and differences between Uzbek and English speech formulas and 
set expressions have been revealed in the frame of structural-grammatical, lexical-
morphological, stylistic and pragmatic aspects. 
The practical results of investigation:

linguistic problems of intercultural communication have been revealed and 
recommendations have been worked out for solving them; 
Uzbek and English speech formulas have been sorted due to their structural-
grammatical, lexical-morphological, semantic, pragmatic and linguocultural 
peculiarities; 
linguodidactic recommendations have been presented for translators and 
specialists of intercultural communication. 
The reliability of the results. The reliability of the results of research is 
supported with results of investigation, crucial scientific-theoretical background, a 
large volume of analyzed material, experience of theoretical background of 
previous investigations in this area, as well as with correspondence of results of 
this research with theoretical background of the given dissertation; conclusion, 
offers and recommendations were embedded into practice, obtained results were 
approved by special structures.
