LEGAL NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOLLOWING PROCEDURES OF THE CONSULTANT'S COMPETITIVE NEGOTIATION ACT, CHAPTER 287.055, LAWS OF FLORIDA

The District Board of Trustees of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota ("Board") announces Professional Design Services will be required by qualified Architects registered in the State of Florida to provide planning and design services, complete contract documents (plans and specifications), bid and proposal services, and construction administration for the following project:

Library and Learning

Center
SCF Project # 5-15-1-17 RFQ#FAC 2014-14

The project will consist of approximately 70,000 GSF of library space and will include areas for collections, independent and group study, student services, reading, collaboration, digital cinema space, collegiate school library, Heritage House Museum, art gallery, food service, staff and support. The Project is located on the Bradenton Campus. 

Applicants for the project must apply in writing for consideration. Interested architectural firms must submit the information required by the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) application packet which includes the firm's abilities with respect to the specific project requirements, a synopsis of the firm's qualifications, past educational facility experience, resumes of key personnel, and a current Standard Federal Form 254 or 330 (whether or not a Form 254 is on file with State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota).

All architectural firms interested in being considered for selection can send a representative to register and pick up the RFQ from Facilities Management at 5840 26th Street W., Bradenton, Florida 34207 or send an email request to [e-mail] and an electronic copy will be returned to sender. Return the printed and completed RFQ to Facilities Management at State College of Florida, 5840 26th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207, deliver to Attention: Chris Wellman, Director, Facilities Management, no later than 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014. No electronic submittals will be accepted. The College will not be responsible for any delays in delivery.

The Professional Service Selection Committee will meet at the Bradenton Campus in the Professional Development Center, Building #18, Room 110 at 9:00am on Friday, October 24, 2014 to review and score the statements of qualifications received by the college. 

No fewer than three (3) firms will be asked to present and interview with the Project Professional Service Selection Committee on either Tuesday, November 4, 2014 or Wednesday, November 5, 2014 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Bradenton campus in the Professional Development Center, Building #18, Room 110. Registered applicants, who submitted a completed RFQ, will be notified in writing of any changes to the above interview date at least five (5) days prior to the newly established interview date. Any addendum to the RFQ will be issued electronically to registered applicants.
