Music and songs create a favorable psychological climate and reduce 
psychological stress; contribute to the strengthening of interpersonal relationships, 
group cohesion and a more complete disclosure of the creative abilities of 
each. Songs are a fascinating, valuable tool for learning a foreign language, as 
they are small, connected by meaning, complete texts and spontaneously repeat, 
―scroll‖ in the head, which mechanically leads to repetition and consolidation of the 
studied material.
In the process of teaching English, it is possible to use any type of song. The 
method of working with each type of song is different, it depends on the level of 
knowledge of the group, and on other factors.
Music not only brings variety and novelty to the learning process and increases 
motivation due to its emotional nature , but also contributes to the formation of 
correct pronunciation. The role of songs in teaching English is great. The songs 
contain the most frequently used grammatical phenomena; the lyrics of songs allow 
to consolidate lexical and grammatical skills, contain a large amount of regional 
geographic information. The songs contain thematic vocabulary; with the help of 
songs, students become better at comprehension of speech and their listening skills 
develop. Using and correctly applying songs in foreign language classes , we use all 
aspects 
of 
the 
language: 
from 
phonetic, 
lexical, 
grammatical 
to 
syntactic.
