Use Texture Image*/Swapping
This 
option is the primary way to insert and 
swap custom texture images from your Tex-
ture Library. The check box will always have 
a check mark if the selected material is a 
texture image—that is, a linked image asso-
ciated with the texture (Fig. 8.16). Uncheck-
ing the box will remove the image from the 
texture, causing the material to revert to a 
solid color (Fig. 8.17).

Checking or rechecking the box will launch a file browser requesting that an image be 
added (Fig. 8.18). This is useful when replacing or swapping texture images to adjust the 
materials on a surface throughout a model (Fig. 8.19).

File path*
Any time a material texture or any material that has a JPEG (or other image file 
type) associated with it is selected, the area below the Texture heading will show a file path 
to the location of the JPEG image that comprises the texture. 
Browse*
Selecting the Browse button will launch the file browser. You can replace or add a 
new image to create a texture map. Clicking the Browse button achieves the same result as 
unchecking the radio button next to the Use Texture Image option.
