Chapter 40 relates to the processes and concepts outlined in Part 5 and Part 6: 
Chapter 40 provides a detailed, step-by-step demonstration of the iterative rendering 
process for the interior portions of the model leading to draft and final renderings. This 
includes how to place and set the model for rendering with simulated lighting. Shader-
light is used for these examples including specific settings.

Part 8: Anatomy of a Rendering
the example Model
The example models correspond to the three disciplines reviewed in this book: architecture, 
site, and interior design. The model itself can be downloaded from the book’s resources webpage 
(www.ambit-3d.com)
. More than one version of the model is available for you to download. 
The various models correspond to the different stages of the model’s development—from base 
model, to adding textures, the placement and organization of component detail, setting light, 
and providing render values.
General approach
As mentioned throughout the book, the process from modeling to rendering is not always 
linear. These chapters detail how the process can jump around to tweak the model.
To reference how tools and methods work, go back to the specific part and chapter that 
describe them. The examples provide some exacting approaches and settings, but the pur-
pose is to show a holistic approach instead of delving into specific how-to processes for the 
tools.
