Chapter 27: Shaderlight Texture Settings
Transparent Water
These settings are applicable for transparent water. You can achieve two types of results: calm and 
reflective, and turbulent and reflective. In both situations, the water surface is transparent. 
The settings for both types are relatively identical. The difference is in the use of a solid, 
nontextured surface to create a calm and reflective water surface.
Calm, Transparent, and reflective 
The key to this method is using a solid color for the 
water surface. No texture image is required (Fig. 27.30, Fig. 27.31, Fig. 27.32).

HLS - Lightness (L): 60 to 100. The higher the number, the more transparent (lighter) 
but less reflective the water will be.

Turbulent, Transparent, and reflective 
This method does require the use of water tex-
ture. CG Textures.com has a large variety of water surfaces that you can download. In this 
case, a bump value is provided, which helps enhance the water ripples and create the sense 
of movement across the top surface of the water (Fig. 27.33, Fig. 27.34).
