replace Colors with Textures 
Inserting a custom texture to replace a solid color or native SketchUp texture is simple. Once 
you are ready to apply specific textures to the model surfaces, follow these quick steps. 
1. 
Using the Paint Bucket Eye Dropper, select the model surface with a solid color (Fig. 9.11). 
Next, go to the Edit tab and under Texture, select the Browse button. SketchUp should 
be pointed toward your Texture Library. If not, do so now, as outlined at the end of 
Chapter 7 under Linking the Texture Library. (Fig. 9.12). 
2. 
Quickly navigate to the appropriate texture folder. Select the desired image and press 
OK. Every surface with the same color will now contain that texture image (Fig. 9.13).

Scale Inserted Textures 
Nine times out of ten, the inserted texture image will be indistinct and too small. SketchUp 
displays inserted textures at a default of 1
f
(Fig. 9.14). For most CG Texture images (and 
textures from other websites), this scale is not large enough (Fig. 9.15).
