Increasing the saturation of a specific color is an excellent way to create focus or to balance 
an area obscured by or competing with other colors (Fig. 31.19, Fig. 31.20). Similarly, the Hue/
Saturation tool is useful in altering a color to a different hue.

The trees do not have enough color and appear dark gray-green. The trees (and other green vegetation) 
will be adjusted using Hue/Saturation’s ability to isolate and affect a single color.

Clay render Overlay and Graphics
Clay renderings can be leveraged to achieve a number of results. There are two ways to 
approach them (Fig. 31.21). The first approach helps increase the depth of a rendering by 
overlaying the clay render over the original. The second approach is used to create focused 
nonphotorealistic graphic images.
