Add More Lights
Once the first set of lights are satisfactorily rendered, add more lights as needed (Fig. 20.26, 
Fig. 20.27). Repeat the evaluation process until all of the desired light sources are inserted into 
the model (Fig. 20.28).

Turn On All Detail
Once all the lights are placed and the settings are refined, turn on all the model detail and rerun 
the render at the same quality and resolution settings. Run one last draft before running the 
semifinal draft sets.
Semifinal Draft Renders for Simulated Lighting
During this phase, increase the resolution to maximum and make sure that all of the detail is 
visible. Quality should not be set to maximum. You shouldn’t run this render to completion 
because it can take quite a bit of time. Evaluate the render as it’s being processed. If everything 
looks acceptable, stop the render and proceed to the final render.
