Rendering in SketchUp

1. 
Open the Layers menu (Window 
F
Layers).
2. 
Turn off (uncheck) Component Detail Layers. 
3. 
Open the Scenes menu (Window 
F
Scenes).
4. 
Uncheck Camera Location.
5. 
Make sure Visible Layer is checked.
6. 
Create the scene.
7. 
Rename the scene to 
OFF
.
On Scenes
On scenes, when clicked, turns on all model layers. This 
setting is useful for creating new saved camera views. 
Turn Off all of the model detailing using the OFF scene. 
Next, position the camera in a desired location, and 
(Fig. 14.25) click the On scene, assess the view and, if 
wanted, create a new scene saving the Camera Position.
