Rendering in SketchUp

1. 
In SketchUp, select Window

Preferences.
2. 
In Preferences, select File Option.
3. 
On the right of File Option, select Texture Images and click the Browse button (Fig. 7.15).
4. 
Navigate to the root folder of your Texture Library (Fig. 7.16).
5. 
Click OK. The Paint Bucket browser (under the Edit tab described in Chapter 8) is now 
linked to the Texture Library.

Chapter 8: The SketchUp Texture Tools

The SketchUp Texture tools used for these tasks are straightforward and easy to use.
This chapter reviews what the Texture tools do. You can use it as a reference manual when 
you’re working with Chapter 9 and learning to apply and edit textures on surfaces. You should 
read through this chapter at least once to familiarize yourself with all the options. 
Macintosh Texture Tools
The PC and Mac versions of the SketchUp 
Paint Bucket tool are different: their submenu 
locations and options are accessed differently. 
This chapter reviews the tools from the 
perspective of the PC. While it is still relevant 
and useful for Mac users, if you are using a 
Mac, you should download and use the online 
chapter “Mac Texture Tools” (Fig. 8.1). You can 
find it with the other accompanying chapters 
at 
www.ambit-3d.com
 (Fig. 8.2).
