Rendering in SketchUp

1. 
Generate the final normal rendering of the model.
2. 
Generate a clay render of the model. Make sure the camera view is identical to the final 
normal render.
3. 
Open both images and place them in the same file. Place the clay render over the final 
render.
4. 
Cut out the clay render portions that obscure the final render. Remove areas of the clay 
render that are obscuring the portions of the final render you want visible (Fig. 31.24, 
Fig. 31.25, Fig. 31.26).

Effects
By representing atmospheric properties, enhancing textures, and creating focus, effects are 
used to add another layer of realism to renderings.
haze
Haze is an excellent addition to exterior renders. You should include or add a sky to the 
background of a render prior to adding haze. Creating haze requires masking an additional 
layer to create a mist/fog/vapor effect over the image (Fig. 31.27).
