Reflective writing
We had many projects which were all helpful for us during the Integrated Skills course. For instance, people and personalities stereotypes, National identities of Uzbekistan and English speaking countries, food projects, project about health and others. As I mentioned above, there are many benefits to improve our different skills: language, transferable, intercultural skills. While we were preparing the project, we tried to search information related to the topic, and certainly we broadened our horizons. However, I can say that I mostly learned the language and intercultural skills as projects contained a data about different countries, cultures and especially, languages. We faced many obstacles during these project works. Lack of presentation skills and time, not having enough information, and working in a team were main problems that we had while we were working on the project. As we had much homework in that days, we had a lacking of time. It was a bit difficult to manage it. In additional, when we worked individually for preparing food, it was nearly impossible for me, because I have never prepared food on my own. Moreover, we worked on that kind of projects for the first time. For these reasons, there were some mistakes we did. Many of projects required working as a team. We were 4 members in each group. We all tried to finish our work completely, so we took responsibility. I was glad that every member including me made an effort to finish this work. I also contributed to the project, mainly to present it in front of the class. Group members were very shy and their presentation skills were not enough. For this reason, I took a responsibility for presenting. But I also had difficulty while presenting and teacher gave some feedback for that. From my point of view, I worked well as a team member. Because I tried hard to finish our work successfully. Also all groupmates were thankful for me for my creative thinking. All in all, we, especially I learned much from this course`s projects.
