Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? High schools should allow students to study the courses that students want to study. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

People sometimes talk about the amendment of high school education. Although some people agree with the statement that high schools should allow students to study the courses that students want to study, I personally have the opinion that high school students have to study the many courses because they need to be erudite. In this essay, I will say the necessity of broad education and the bad influence of students' preferred study on it.

More than anything else, broad education in high school is more necessary than profession one. They would attend a college or a university, which teaches them professional education according to their major. If they don't have broad education in high school, they would be likely to be one of the professional fools: It means those who are a specialist in specific field but don't have culture. Education nowadays has a tendancy to produce experts in his field but novices in other field. In this respect, broad education in high school has very important meaning.

The next thing to be mentioned here is that if students could choose their favoring courses with their own will, most of the students would choose their favorite courses. This could cause students to have specific knowledge about the field, which prevents students from having broad knowledge. In this context, I think that students have to learn variety of courses and experiences.

In conclusion, if the choice whether high school students study whole courses or chosen courses is given to me, I have no hesitation in choosing whole courses especially in high school. The broad education has an important mean in high school other than a specific study and education by students' choices have a danger of students' concentrating on their favorite field.
