Проверку валов на усталостную прочность (выносливость) ведут по условию
S [S] ,
где S – расчетное значение коэффициента запаса выносливости вала в его рассматриваемом предположительно опасном сечении;
S необходимое значение коэффициента запаса выносливости.
Необходимое значение коэффициента запаса выносливости вала [S] принимают равным:
[S] = 1.5…2.0.
Расчетное значение коэффициента запаса выносливости S при совместном действии кручения и изгиба определяется из зависимости:
