АТОМ – ATOM 
Atom (from other Greek - 

τομος - indivisible, uncut) is a particle of a 
substance of microscopic dimensions and mass, the smallest part of a chemical 
element that is the carrier of its properties. The atom consists of an atomic 
nucleus and electrons. If the number of protons in the nucleus coincides with the 
number of electrons, then the atom as a whole turns out to be electrically 
neutral. Otherwise, it has some positive or negative charge and is called an ion. 
In some cases, atoms are understood only as electrically neutral systems in 
which the charge of the nucleus is equal to the total charge of electrons, thereby 
opposing them to electrically charged ions.

ЭКСПЕРИМЕНТ – EXPERIMENT 
Experiment (from the Latin experimentum - a test, an experiment), also an 
experience, in the scientific method - a method of investigating some 
phenomenon under conditions controlled by the observer [the source is not 
specified 725 days]. It differs from observation by active interaction with the 
object under study. Usually, the experiment is conducted in the framework of 
scientific research and serves to test the hypothesis, establishing causal 
relationships between phenomena. The experiment is the cornerstone of the 
empirical approach to knowledge. Popper's criterion puts the possibility of 
setting the experiment as the main difference between the scientific theory and 
pseudoscientific.
