Promoting tourism and traveling in Ukraine
All corners of our globe know that Ukraine is famous not only for its interesting history, but also for its architectural monuments and fertile lands where wide fields and dense forests sprout.
Tourism is very important and fast growing industry in Ukraine. Beauty and diversity of Ukraine has a wide range of experiences for tourists from the whole world. Visitors can enjoy architecture of old cities, laze on the beach, explore adventure tourism or enjoy opportunities of green tourism. The Black Sea, the Crimea and the Carpathians are ideal for hiking, mountaineering, climbing and diving. Ukrainian tourism will amaze visitors with diversity of landscapes, lively festivals, architecture and cultural heritage. Wherever you travel, Ukrainians are very hospitable to travelers. Ukraine is a country with great tourist potential. Up to 2014, more than 20 million foreigners visited Ukraine annually, primarily from Russia, Moldova, Belarus, neighboring countries of Eastern Europe, as well as the United States, Uzbekistan, and Israel. The country's tourism industry is generally considered to be underdeveloped, but it does provide crucial support for Ukraine's economy. Ukraine does have certain advantages, including much lower costs than other European destinations, as well as visa-free access for most people from Europe, the former Soviet Union, and North America. Since 2005 citizens of European Union and EFTA, United States, Canada, Japan and South Korea no longer require a visa to visit Ukraine for tourism purposes.
But a lot of effort is needed to support and further develop tourism in our country. And above all, these efforts need to come from the government. It is no secret that any development requires large finances, but the government is not always ready to make such "sacrifices". Increasingly, you can see how these areas are gradually beginning to decline. Therefore, the people again take the initiative in their own hands. They clean up long-abandoned places and begin to develop ecotourism. They are trying to restore long-extinct species of animals and plants, which then become the hallmark of our country.
On the one hand, these actions can be called national consciousness, but in fact it often shows the impotence of our government, which has more power and opportunities to develop travel and tourism. Therefore, I want the government not only to pay attention to this problem, but also to unite its forces and the forces of the people. After all, together we can not only support what we already have, but also develop it to a higher level.Perhaps even on the world level. After all, we have something to be proud of and have something that shows our wealth and diversity.
