Online Lecture Process
A
Online Lecture Process
A
- First, the lecture material will be prepared in PPT(Power Point) summarizing the contents of the textbook, and the lectures will be recorded on a weekly basis
- Second, the video lectures will be uploaded to IUT webserver (http://online.inha.uz) by 12:00 p.m. on every Monday
- The total length of video lecture will be at least 75 minutes long. So the lecture will be divided into 3~4 videos
- Third, the lecture PPT will be uploaded to e-Class system (eclass.inha.uz) at the same time.
- Therefore, you are strongly advised to read the textbook in advance, before the class begins
- To follow the video lectures more effectively, you are advised (not required) to get the PPT printed and use it throughout the video lecture.
- Because the lecture PPT is expected to be quite lengthy, 50 pages give or take, it might be a good idea printing it by ‘4-in-one’ or ‘2-in-one’ format.
Real-Time Interaction Session (RIS)
B
- I will provide a Real-time Interaction Session (RIS) at a designated time once a week, starting from Week 02.
- The length of Real-time Interaction Session (RIS) will be 40 minutes.
- Academic affairs team will provide a time table for RIS.
- I will use the online communication platform Zoom for conducting RIS classes.
- IUT administration will provide access to the paid version of Zoom for organizing RIS.
- Against the unexpected internet disconnection of the professor, RIS should be co-hosted by TA.
- RIS will be recorded and uploaded to the IUT web server for the course every week.
- The attendance for RIS is not mandatory but can be considered class participation.
- Contents of RIS
- Supplementary explanation of the lecture topic (discussion).
- Problem solving, Q&A, Career guidance, etc.
Attendance & Quizzes
C
- I will check attendance using weekly attendance quizzes.
- To do that, I will prepare weekly attendance quizzes based on the content of the lecture topic for each week and upload it to e-Class system (eclass.inha.uz), after uploading lecture video recordings
- You are required to get it submitted BY SUNDAY OF THE SAME WEEK.
- You need to submit the quizzes to my TA
- I will confirm the weekly due date and more details, next week
- Only those students, who have submitted quiz answers (no matter whether the answers are correct or not) will be checked as present in the class for that week.
- The first quiz will start from the week 02, week of Oct 5th
