UzBuild 2011 will present 130 companies from 16 countries, including 80 direct exhibitors and 50 stand sharers. Of the total number of exhibitors, 23% are representatives of the domestic construction industry and 77% are international companies. There are 30 newcomers to the exhibition this year. Among the participating countries are: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Kuwait, Poland, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, France, Sweden and Japan. For the first time in the history of construction exhibitions in Uzbekistan, UzBuild will feature three national groups: Germany, Belgium and the State of Kuwait. The foundation for the participation of these countries, one of the indicators of international economic cooperation, was laid during numerous high-level meetings and talks.
A distinctive feature of the exhibition this year is that it is clearly segmented into sectors: heating and ventilation; building materials and equipment; power tools; interiors and design; ceramics and stone; landscape and garden; and windows and stained glass. So that visitors can easily find their way around the exhibition, each stand will display a special sign identifying the sector. The products exhibited by companies on their stands will demonstrate the requirements of today. Building and decoration materials, metal structures, manufacturing equipment, tools, accessories, sandwich panels, landscape construction, abrasive materials, sealants, waterproofing materials, reinforced concrete structures, soundproofing materials, roofs and roofing materials, facing materials, fireproofing materials, building chemicals, lifts, handling equipment – this is just a sample list of what will be on show to professionals and the general public.

The construction industry is one of the key industries in Uzbekistan, where large-scale transformations are being carried out as part of the “Programme on the priorities of industrial development of Uzbekistan for 2011-2015”. Over the next five years, more than $436 million will invested in developing the building materials industry. Of this, $247.3 million will be invested in the modernisation and reconstruction of existing facilities, and $189.5 million in the construction of new facilities and implementation of several projects to re-equip and modernise the country’s cement industry. In 2011, at least 7400 houses are due to be built in 357 housing areas, as well as social facilities and public utilities. For these purposes, over 500 billion soums of investment is required.

The new construction season poses industry professional new goals and objectives. UzBuild traditionally set the tone for the construction season for the year ahead, promoting in the domestic construction industry the most advanced and innovative technological solutions.

One of the most interesting stands at UzBuild 2011 promises to be that of the German national group, which includes well-known companies in Europe, such as: Bauer Maschinen Gmbh, Buderus, Doerken, Gustav Alberts, Robert Bosch, Rtg Rammtechnik Gmbh, 3T Consult and Teka Maschinenbau Gmbh. At the stand, representatives of the construction industry will have an ideal opportunity to hold talks, and learn about technologies, innovative ideas and products of German quality.

No less interesting will be the entry to Uzbekistan’s market of several Kuwaiti manufacturers, which, unlike their German colleagues, are newcomers to the exhibition. Nine companies - Al-Bahar Industries, Al-Sharhan Industries, Al-Ahlia Chemicals Company, Polyurethane Company, Aquasan, Al-Hasawi Group, Alusol, Neama Group and Al-Ammr Electricity – will exhibit at the national stand of Kuwait. They will present a diverse range of products that are in demand in the local construction market, including construction tools; equipment; construction chemicals; heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; bathrooms; aluminium profiles; power tools; heavy-duty glass from plastic; and much more.

Belgium, which traditionally takes part in the exhibition, is participating with a national stand this year. Among the exhibitors are: Buzon Pedestal International Sa, a producer of polypropylene coatings for terraces; JKP SPRL, a developer of technologies for the construction of buildings, tunnels and roads; BEA SA, a manufacturer of automatic door opening systems; ACV International, a manufacturer of heating systems; and Donbar , a manufacturer of decorative fireplaces and stoves.

The exhibition’s regular exhibitors have also prepared their stands with great care, bringing together all the latest products. Among the regular exhibitors are: Grundfos (Austria), Mogilev Strommashina Plant (Belarus), Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (Russia), Onduline Avrasya AS (Turkey), Pilsa Plastic Products INC. (Turkey), Klingspor (Poland) and many others.

For representatives of the domestic construction industry, UzBuild has become an important tool for promoting and distributing new products, developing market relations, and studying market demand for products and services, as well as a centre for sharing industry information. Among the local companies participating in the exhibition are: O'zpromholodmontaj, Plastherm Technology, Sam Ros Holod, Uzelektroapparat - Electroshield, Tashkentskiy Opytno-Eksperimental'niy Mexanicheskiy Zavod and many others. Domestic newcomers include Magma Group, Marjon Universal Trading, Nur Pulat Savdo, Ntc-Khamkor and Proftexinstrumentov.

According to the organisers, UzBuild will remain true to its traditions and reaffirm its status as a “UFI Approved Event” (UFI is the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry), contributing to the strengthening of economic ties and providing a unique opportunity to obtain, in one place and at one time, the most accurate information about new resources in the construction industry and their practical application.
