Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise is one of the most successful actors in cinema history. However, life hasn't always been that easy for him. As a young boy, Tom was shy and had (Q1) in finding friends, although he really enjoyed (Q2) part in school plays.
(Q3) he had finished High School, Tom went to New York to look for work. He found employment as a porter, and at the same time he (Q4) drama classes. In 1980, the film director Franco Zeffirelli (Q5) Tom his first part in a film. Ten years later, he had become (Q6) successful that he was one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, (Q7) millions of dollars for (Q8) film.
Today, Tom (Q9) appears in films and is as (Q10) as ever with his thousands of
fans from all around the world.


Task 4. WRITING

Dear the members of Capital TV,

I was writing in connection with the jobs you have recently offered. I finally came to a firm conclusion to go for the job of a camera assistant. Camera assistants set up and position the camera equipment so that it is ready for the camera operator to use. This may include inspecting the equipment to verify that it is in good working order and loading the camera with film. Camera assistants may also position lighting equipment in preparation for shoots.
During the editing process, the Script Supervisor works cooperatively amongst the Editor, as they select the perfect 'slate and take' from the notes that the Script Supervisor has provided.
Throughout the shoot, I believe I had good communication amongst the directors and camera department, as we were always on guard for a certain situation (e.g. Carrying a spare battery on hand) and I always ensured that the Clapper Board was fully displayed within the shot , when marking it.
