❓What kinds of apps do you often use?
Communication apps like Facebook, Telegram and Instagram are what I cannot do without. I use them on an hourly basis to stay in touch with the world. To me, using these apps is no longer a hobby, but more like a habit now.
❓What kinds of apps would you like to have in the future?
I am trying to think of one, but nothing is leaping to mind at the moment. Perhaps it’s because in this era of information, there is an app for just about anything. Even the simplest tasks like booking a taxi or ordering food can be facilitated by mobile applications.
❓What’s the most popular app in your country?
Instagram is no doubt the most frequently used app in Uzbekistan. I would say the biggest reason is its user-friendly layout. Besides, Instagram has created such a solid virtual community that people just can’t help but use it.
❓What was the first app you used?
I don’t remember precisely, but one of the first apps I installed on my smart phone was Google maps. I relied on it a lot, and I still do now, since it helps me get around the city by showing the shortest route.
❓Do old people in your country like to use apps?
Based on my observation, I would say no. Most old people in my country are technology illiterate, which means they can’t even use a normal cell phone, not to mention complicated mobile apps.

❓What’s the weather like in your country each season?
Well, I was born and grew up in Uzbekistan and it is well known for its continental climate. So, we actually enjoy four distinct seasons. In summery months, it can get really sweltering, and by contrast, temperatures can really dip in winter.
❓What type of weather do you like best?
I’d consider myself a cold weather person. I love the crisp mornings at the end of fall and the chill of winter. Maybe it’s because we have to bundle up as the weather turns cold, and I love wearing sweaters and overcoats.
❓Does the weather ever affect what you do?
You know, I gotta say yes, especially when it rains. I mean, I cannot go out and run my errands if it’s pouring outside. The roads get slippery, so it’s quite dangerous to drive. Besides, you will be soaked if you do decide to go out.
❓Do you prefer dry or wet weather?
I would go for dry. Because heavy rain becomes a hassle in my city. Moreover, the dry heat feels a lot more comfortable, as the humidity is nearly unbearable in this part of the world at times.
❓What do you do in hot weather?
In hot weather, I don't go outside and sit in my room, enjoying watching TV and eating my favorite snacks. I do nothing special but enjoy, remaining inside of my home.
