PHILLY IMPROV THEATER ANNOUNCES ALTERNATIVE COMEDY SHOWS
Enjoy Philadelphia’s Top Comedic Talent
AUGUST 6, 2012 THROUGH AUGUST 12, 2012
A show is never the same twice!
PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Philly Improv Theater (PHIT), the city’s source for alternative comedy, announces its performance schedule for the week of August 6th to August 12th.
The public is invited to enjoy some of the best stand-up, sketch and improv shows in the city, including a PHIT House Team. Every Saturday night comedy fans will laugh at the quick-witted antics of house improv teams: Asteroid!, Davenger, Hey Rube, Hot Dish, King Friday, Mayor Karen or ZaoGao. Inspired by a single suggestion an audience member provides, spectators will be taken on a fantastic (or possibly depraved) journey that is never the same twice.
Shows are located at The Shubin Theater, 407 Bainbridge Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147-1526. Audience members can bring their own beverages. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online for a discount at www.phillyimprovtheater.com.

4 STORYTELLERS. 1 FIBBER. After swearing to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, Philly’s most talented storytellers share their own personal, awkward, outrageous, gripping, and twisted experiences with the audience - but someone has made it all up. It’s the audience's job to hear the stories, interrogate the performers with help from host Hillary Rea, and vote for the person whose pants they think are on fire. After a secret audience ballot, the fibber is revealed and those who chose wisely are rewarded with a smug sense of satisfaction and free tickets to a future show.
