As Albert Einstein once said: “The world is not dangerous because of those who do harm but because of those who look at it without doing anything”. Changes are integral and constituent components of our life. Whether they are minor or immense, they are to be considered as turning point since they influence us to the greatest extent. Those moments when we make decision alters everything starting from the background, we originated from to the summit we strive to reach later. These opportunities often fill us with pangs of inner conflict. One voice beckons us back in to the security of our comfort zone, yet another pulls us forward so powerfully that we simply cannot presume relinquishing. Life dares us to take a leap, whilst we stagger on the edge of fear and uncertainty. However, I have certain plans concerning my time in ENGLAND, land of nobility and courtesy, the country where opportunity walks parallel to challenges touching millions of live and molding even more. GREAT BRITAIN has always lured me as a destination for obtaining my undergraduate degree.
According to the latest researches, a great number of people in the world choose the profession by which they can make money despite their interest and favorite fields. However, I never thought about whether or not my interest can bring me a great deal of financial gains but a lot about the overall benefit to society. The initial interest in studying Accounting and Finance was precipitated by my grandfather. In my kinder garden years my grandad started to count cars on roads while we are walking to and from kinder garden. Then he started teaching mental arithmetic. Those days was so great, since every day when I found right answers my grandad bought me ice cream. After that my desire to find answers for mathematic questions and calculate difficult tasks become a hobby for me.
This year I graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics, studying subjects as finance, accounting, economics, management and others. I gained a lot of knowledges from my lectures, which shaped me into the person I am today. During my student years, I always made researches how developed and developing countries can manage to keep unemployment rate and inflation rate low, since these elements are vital for perspective economy, and how the effective free-market financial systems work in globally leading countries. Furthermore, making researches bring me second place in my university’s research work’s competition on the topic “Unemployment and corruption – how we can stop it?”.
It is obvious that, economy of my country is in position with high unemployment and inflation rate which is less than average percentage worldwide and this economic situation of Uzbekistan always make me do researches in order to find ways of decreasing unemployment and inflation rates. While researching that I usually think not only about my country’s economic position but also think about undeveloped countries and how to improve people’s life there. Unfortunately, I did not gain sufficient knowledge relating to how developed countries keep their fiscal and monetary policy outstanding through my studies in my institute and researches. Suddenly I realized that, living and studying in one of the already developed countries is the best way to gain knowledge which I need. I find out UK is the best choice, since education system of the country is far superior to others and unemployment rate is nearly 5% despite the Covid-19 restrictions.
Furthermore, as a fresh graduate student of Tashkent State University of Economics, I was taught Accounting and Finance, and therefore would like to continue my studies by the same path I stepped into four years ago. Based my researches, University of Surrey has many years of experience in economic education and is a great opportunity for me to create a new method in finding solutions for economic and financial problems in future of developing and undeveloped countries.
I would like to share my vision of my nearest future. Initially, I plan to obtain my master’s degree in Accounting and Finance. My dream is to work in a field related to accounting, finance, economy and banking, so I would like to gain deeper theoretical and practical knowledge by analyzing related subjects. Currently, there is an extensive demand in financial analysts and accountants with a powerful knowledge and experience in international accounting and finance, specifically in my country. Taking into consideration high level of interest from foreign investors in the Uzbek market and a growing number of foreign companies in Uzbekistan, from this point of view there will be huge demand in international fanciers and accountants. For this reason, I am pursuing to be more knowledgeable, qualified and experienced financier in this particular field, in order to perform audit and accounting and financial services in the long run for my country. I truly believe that, this master’s degree will provide me with the opportunity to acquire more experience in dealing with different tax disputes, various taxation systems and demands and final result will be helpful in my future career.
To conclude, I am sure that is not an accident. Besides, it is hard work, sacrifice, self-discipline, learning and passion to do what you want to do. Without any doubt I can claim that I am skilled and knowledgeable enough to continue my studies in University of Surrey “Accounting and Finance” program, so as to achieve my greatest goals in the long run. I hope this application will receive your favorable consideration and I will be happy to meet you at your convenience and provide additional information you may need. I look forward to receiving your reply.
Yours sincerely,
Bekhzod Gulomov
