Ms. Larson, Ms. Thompson, Ms. Jankowski, and Ms. Daley shared a room on Friday and
Saturday night while attending a craft show in town. Their room cost $199 per night,
plus locally applicable sales and occupancy taxes. While staying in the room they
watched one movie that cost $12.99. During check-out, they announce that they would
each like to pay a fourth of the guestroom rental charge; however, because Ms. Daley did
not watch the movie, they would like to split that charge only three ways. Ms. Larson
would like to pay cash, Ms. Thompson would like to pay by personal check, Ms. Jankowski
wants to pay by credit card, and Ms. Daley has offered her debit card to pay for her share
of the charges.
