Responsible for the daily review of guest-related financial transactions recorded by the front office staff.
•
Ensures that correct charges for room rentals and purchases at hotel outlets are charged (posted) to correct guest
accounts.
•
Processes credit card and guest charge vouchers.
•
Receives and records guest payments.
•
Maintains daily count information on walk-in reservations.
•
Records and makes wake-up calls.
•
Transfers authorized guest charges and deposits to group master accounts.
•
Verifies accuracy of all account postings and balances.
•
Monitors effectiveness of discounts and other advertising and promotion efforts.
•
Develops “today” and “to-date” reports of room revenues, occupancy rates, and other statistics requested by the
controller.
•
Prepares a summary of revenue by types (cash, check, credit card).
•
May perform guest registration and check-out procedures.
•
Prepares high-balance credit reports.
•
Prepares housekeeper’s report showing status of check-outs, stays, and vacant and out-of-order rooms for the night just
ended.
