Disadvantages of distance education:
* Lack of direct contact (face to face) with students. Some teachers, having a long 
experience of teaching, can evaluate the student, his desire to learn, the desire for 
knowledge, or, conversely, passivity, the habit of "just to sit out" by behavior, look, 
questions asked and answers. Therefore, direct, live teacher-student contact is of 
great importance for changing teaching tactics. Often an experienced teacher can 
unexpectedly change the style of presentation of the material depending on the mood 
and behavior of a group of students. This is a kind of skill of the teacher.
* Complexity of individual and group work. Many disciplines require classes with the 
division of groups into subgroups, the use of business games and other methods that 
increase the independent work of students. In DE, the decomposition, organization of 
students ' work in subgroups, and evaluation of their activities are quite complex [7]; 
* The ability of students to be present "virtually", to make an appearance ("effect") of 
presence. There are students who have got the hang of doing their work in parallel, 
doing business, even driving a car, etc. If a student needs only a "crust of diploma" 
and the knowledge gained doesn't play important role in his career and material well-
being, then no matter what conditions we create for learning, there will be a category 
of students who will look for a "loophole" to simulate their presence in the classroom, 
write off control, laboratory and thesis papers. Successful online learning requires a 
high level of self-study skills, which often creates additional challenges for students 
who are academically less prepared;
• 
Less knowledge. Often, in the special conditions of universities (technical, program, 
methodical not ready), students receive an average of less knowledge in online 
courses compared to similar students in face-to-face classes. Researches show that 
online training may even exacerbate educational inequalities between different 
demographic groups that already exist in traditional classes. Administrative statistic 
data suggests that high-quality online courses with a high degree of interaction with 
teachers and student support are more expensive to develop and administer than full-
time courses; 
* Complexity of knowledge assessment. An objective assessment of students ' 
knowledge becomes a rather difficult task, because we don‘t know in what conditions 
the student is: whether he performs the task independently or sits next to the

"assistant", whether he writes off from different sources or all that he presented is the 
results of his independent work, etc.
• 
Not all students have technical capabilities. Unfortunately, not all students have 
computers connected to the Internet. Most often, students use cell phones to
