Partial closure in MetaTrader 4 
6.8.1
 
The MetaTrader 4 trading platform allows a Trader to partially close a position. When a Trader 
partially closes a position in their MetaTrader 4 account, the position volume that was closed will appear in 
the account history with the original position ID number and a comment “to XXXXX”, where XXXXX is the ID 
number of the new position which the remaining (unclosed) volume was carried to. The opening time of 
this new position will display the original opening price and time of the original position and appear in the 
Trader’s open positions tab with the comment “from YYYYY”, where YYYYY is the ID number of the original 
position. 
6.8.2
 
When a Trader partially closes a position on their MetaTrader 4 account, the position on a subscribed 
Investor’s MetaTrader 4 account will be closed in full. 
6.8.3
 
Immediately after the partial closure has been completed by a Trader on their MetaTrader 4 account 
and a new position appears in the Trader’s open positions section, the remaining volume is copied to an 
Investor’s account in accordance with the Investor’s Copying mode just like when a new position is opened 
by a Trader. 
6.8.4
 
Positions related to a remaining position of the Trader’s MetaTrader 4 account are copied to an 
Investor’s MetaTrader 4 account at the current market price, with their opening time equal to the time 
when they are copied to an Investor’s account. This means that the opening time and price of such copied
