using the software Rhino v5, SketchUp v14, and V-Ray v3.2. To make 
the effect of the fl uid as realistic as possible, various features were 
considered, including refractive index, density, color, and viscosity of 
the employed glass, water, and an optically neutral fi lling medium with 
zero absorption. However, the vast temperature dependence of these 
material properties is presently not considered. For renderings shown 
in Figures 2 and 9 , the channel size is set to the geometric values of the 
prototype device (see Figure 10 and Table 1 ) and the refractive index of 
the fl uid is water with index 1.32.
