Child allowances

Description:  

The  Family  Allowances  Fund  (Familienlastenausgleichsfonds), 

financed from employers' contributions and general tax revenues, is 

responsible  for  providing  family  benefits  including  child  benefit 

(Familienbeihilfe). This is mainly paid out by tax offices. The amount 

increases with the age of the child and the number of children in the 

family. Since May 2015, the child benefit has been implemented as 

no-stop  eGovernment  service.  Parents  do  not  have  to  file  an 

application to get the child benefit anymore.
