than teachers who participate in a 
project. The results show that this phenomenon is not marginal, the lack of coherence in 
answers would rather indicate the g
ap between teachers’ practice and perceptions related 
to the use of ICT in language teaching. The opinions explicitly declared and the teaching 
practice indicated are not consistent. Thus, the results may support Argyris and Schön’s 
concept (1974) that the theory-in-use and the theory espoused differ. 
The challenges presented above influence the reporting stage. As all respondents express 
similar opinions on technology regardless their access to school infrastructure or lack of 
it, the level of the teacher
s’ pedagogical
-subject-technical competence may vary. A 
teacher who uses technology every day overcoming daily problems may perceive herself 
or himself as less competent in comparison with a teacher whose competence gained at 
courses and professional training was not tested in the classroom, but such teacher may 
present better opnion on his or her competence. Thus, the methodological challenge in 
reporting is to formulate conclusions including all data available in the 670 
questionniares.
