tures to determine which one works best for you. 
It is worthwhile trying out each of these notetaking ecosystems 
so that you can compare them and discover the variety of fea-
tures on ofer. One thing that will quickly become apparent is 
that you can use these systems to store everything associated 
with your studies. You can download lecture notes, insert lec-
turer video fles, add your own notes, and also record online live 
lectures and include the audio fle. You will be given access to a 
wide range of study resources, and these ecosystems can collate 
them together and allow you to add your own notes as well. Fur-
thermore, these systems all come with “web capture” extensions 
for web browsers. Tat means you can take screenshots of entire 
web pages (even the ones that scroll) and annotate them. As if 
this were not enough to impress you, the manufacturers of these 
systems also have apps for mobile devices. As a result, you can 
access your notes and all of the associated fles anywhere. You 
do not have to be at your computer. In addition, whether you 
are using these systems on your main computer or on a mo-
bile device, you can search for any word, and it will be found 
both within your own notes and in the documents that you have 
added. For online students, this is a signifcant advantage as 
it enables you to fnd everything associated with a particular 
idea. Using one of these ecosystems will save you a considerable 
amount of time when you need to locate information to help 
with an assignment, for example. As an aside, all of the notes 
for this book were compiled in an Evernote® notebook, together 
with all of the research references, PDFs, and web pages that 
I used. Everything associated with this book is available for me to 
search in one place, together will all my annotations and notes. 
I could have done the same thing in any of the other notetaking 
ecosystems. Ultimately, which one you select is down to per-
sonal choice.
