in their range which allow you to store handwritten notes digitally. 
Oxford comes with its own app called Scribzee®. However, these 
are not automatic systems – you have to remember to take a pic-
ture of each page of notes. Even so, they are a cost-efective way 
of storing handwritten notes in digital form. If you use Microsoft 
Ofce, an even cheaper way is to use the Lens app. Tis allows 
you to snap pictures of your handwritten notes and store them in 
a relevant folder in your OneDrive system or within a OneNote 
document. Tis allows you to integrate handwritten notes with 
your online information easily. However, you have to remember to 
take pictures of all your notes, and if you have several pages, it can 
take extra time that you can avoid if you have a fully digital system 
such as a digital pen. 
QUICK TIP: You can integrate handwritten notes with digital 
ones relatively easily, but you have to think about how you will 
do this and have a plan. 
Handwrite notes on a digital device 
Tere are now several digital devices that ofer you a paper-like 
feel when writing. Tese look like tablet devices, but they are 
dedicated to notetaking. Tey do not ofer the other features of 
Android™ tablets or the iPad®. However, if you want to handwrite 
notes and ensure they are available digitally without having to re-
member to take a picture, these devices can be benefcial. Two 
well-known brands are Remarkable and Supernote. Tey are de-
signed to feel like paper when you write on them, allowing you to 
get handwritten notes on a digital device. 
You can also handwrite on a standard tablet device. However, it can 
feel as though you are writing on glass or a shiny surface and getting 
the same degree of control over your handwriting is not easy. How-
ever, there are several manufacturers of screen protectors which 
claim to provide the surface of your tablet with a paper-like feel so
