John F. Kennedy biography
John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States. This biography
offers detailed information about his childhood, life, work, achievements and
deadlines.
Kennedy quote: “Do not pray for an easy life. Pray to be stronger than a man ”,
perfectly sums up his philosophy of life. John Fitzgerald Kennedy, a man with a
futuristic vision, was the 35th president of the United States. Kennedy was born in
the elite, politically involved Catholic family of Boston. Kennedy was elected
president at the age of 43.
Prior to taking office, Kennedy served in the U.S. House of Representatives
and the U.S. Senate. He defeated Vice President and Republican nominee Richard
Nixon to become President of the United States. He was the youngest elected
president and the first Catholic to hold a prestigious position. Kennedy is known to
have played an influential role in revolutionizing American politics.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the second of four children of Joseph P. Kennedy
and Rose Fitzgerald. While his father was a banker, he later served as chairman of
the Securities and Exchange Commission and ambassador to the UK, his mother was
a debutante.
Young Kennedy, born in Brooklyn, was pre-educated at various schools before
the family moved to New York. Naughty and playful, he excelled in English and
history - subjects that interested him, but overall he remained a mediocre student.
Following his older brother, Kennedy studied at the Chaota School for higher
education. He graduated in 1935 and wanted to enter the London School of
Economics. But his constantly deteriorating health made him return to America,
where he turned to Princeton University for help.
After spending a semester at Princeton, Kennedy moved to Harvard in 1936.
His academic life at Harvard was a copy of his past years - he excelled at subjects
he loved, but overall remained an average student because of his diverse interest.
Over time, Kennedy showed interest in political philosophy, which made him
take education seriously. In 1940, he completed his dissertation on “The Peace of
Munich,” which was so well received that it was turned into a book entitled “Why
England Was Sleeping.” The book has become a bestseller. In the same year,
Kennedy graduated from Harvard University with honors in international relations
