element includes attributes for 
name
, 
type
, and 
requirePermission
. The 
type
attribute should appear on one line, even though it appears on multiple lines in the book. This attri-
bute describes the 
Microsoft.Scripting.DLL
attributes. Especially important is the 
Version
and 
PublicKeyToken
entries.
The 

element contains a 

element at a minimum. Within the 

element you find individual 

elements that are descriptions of the languages 
you want to use in your application.
For this example, you create a 

element for IronPython that starts with a

bute. It’s important to define all the names you plan to use to access the language — the example
