Biographies ROBERT S. WEISSBACH received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Arizona State University in 1998.
Since August 1998, he has been an assistant professor of engineering in the Electrical Engineering Technology
department at Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, where he is currently the program chair. His research interests
are in flywheel energy storage systems, power electronics and power systems.
TIMOTHY S. MEYERS is a senior in Electrical Engineering Technology at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College,
and plans on graduating in May 2003. He has made the dean’s list five semesters. Tim has interned at
Westinghouse Corp. for the past two summers where he has worked on control systems for nuclear power plants.
His interests are in control systems and renewable energy. He is also actively involved in student government on
campus.
