ART AND INDUSTRIAL EDUCATION DURING THE PANDEMIC
The article concerns the higher art and industrial education, which has been undergoing 
a phase of active reforms and introduction of distance learning during the pandemic. Education plays 
a significant role in resolving many contradictions in the contemporary world. Therefore, it is vital 
to outline the fundamental principles of modern education and younger generation upbringing as the 
basis for developing relevant models for young people successful socialisation and modernisation of art 
institutions. The author proposes to include ethical aspect into educational programs that should aim 
to encourage students to develop social accountability and reflexive creative attitude to both personal 
life and lives of others. The events of the global pandemic in 2020 instigated this all-encompassing 
consideration of educational environment from the standpoint of its formation and development 
in relation to such personal issues as the reflective perception of the world and upbringing.

Всемирный банк в своем исследовании называет CОVID-19 серьезным шоком для рос-
сийской системы образования и образования во всем мире. Сегодня основное внимание 
СМИ приковано к переходу базового образования в онлайн-формат. В условиях пандемии 
вопрос о том, как организовано художественное образование вообще и художественно-про-
мышленное образование в частности в новой реальности, стоит достаточно остро [1, с. 57]. 
Постпандемизм приведет к рождению нового человека с частично развитым виртуальным, 
электронным восприятием реальности.
