Obtaining human embryos without complying with the conditions set out under articles L. 2141-5 and L. 2141-6 of
the Public Health Code is punished by seven years' imprisonment and a fine of €100,000.

The in vitro conception or creation by cloning of human embryos for industrial or commercial purposes is punished
by seven years' imprisonment and a fine of €100,000.
The same penalties apply to the use of human embryos for industrial or commercial purposes.
