INTRODUCTION (abstract of PhD thesis) 
The aim of the study is to study the adaptive potential and ecological – 
biological characteristics of Salsola arbuscula in the conditions of degraded 
pastures of Karnabchul. 
The object of study is Salsola arbuscula Pall, belonging to the 
Chenopodiaceae family. 
The scientific novelty of the study is as follows: 
For the first time, the features of the growth and development of Salsola 
arbuscula Pall in the soil and climatic conditions of Karnabchul were revealed. 
the stages of the formation of the root system of Salsola arbuscula under the 
conditions of introduction into the culture are justified; 
established daily and seasonal flowering dynamics of Salsola arbusсula; 
potential and real seed productivity, as well as the coefficient of seed 
productivity of Salsola arbuscula were determined; 
The main indicators of the water regime (transpiration rate, water content and 
water deficit) are disclosed. 
Implementation of research results. Based on the results of the 
introduction, ecological and biological features of Salsola arbuscula under the 
conditions of Karnabchul: 
Salsola arbuscula cultivation methods suitable for gypsum deserts have been 
introduced in the “Tim Agronchorvadori” and “Sahoba-Ota-koraklnasl” karakul 
husbandry farms in the Nurabad district of the Samarkand region on a total area of 
8 hectares (certificate No. 02/032-251 of the Ministry of Agriculture of the 
Republic of Uzbekistan of 16. April 2019). As a result of the introduction and 
cultivation of new fodder plant species, as well as the study of the biological
environmental and physiological characteristics of these plants, it has been 
possible to significantly increase the productivity of pastures in Karnabchul. 
Salsola arbuscula Pall breeding has been introduced on saline sandy loam 
soils of the State Forestry of the Khojeli District of the Republic of 
Karakalpakistan in order to strengthen the supply of forage and forest stands, 
usually consisting of Haloxylon and Calligonum (certificate of the State Forestry 
Committee (certificate No. 05/21-4252 of December 10, 2019 years). As a result, 
the efficiency of the use of these forest stands has increased, which made it 
possible to increase the yield of fodder plants by 16.5 c/ha.
