the fulfillment of the key performance indicators of the insurance organization for 2020 is carried out, the ways of 
further economic growth are investigated taking into account the entrenched competitive advantages (a wide range 
of insurance services, an extensive regional structure, a sales agent network, etc.) and the gradual strengthening 
of the role of information technology in the field of insurance and claims settlement. The influence of the COVID-19 
pandemic on the organization of the company’s work in 2020 is characterized and it is investigated how the pandemic 
affected the indicators of insurance activity. Based on the analysis of the insurance portfolio and the level of 
competition in the insurance market of the Republic of Belarus it is concluded that in addition to the use of traditional 
sales methods in the planning period it will be necessary to introduce new approaches to the insurance services 
providing that are necessary to ensure high quality of work and sustainable indicators of financial and economic 
activity in modern economic conditions.
О ключевых показателях эффективности 
страховой деятельности
Ключевыми показателями эффективности деятель-
ности руководителей страховых организаций, имуще-
ство которых находится в собственности государства, и 
страховых организаций, в уставных фондах которых 50 и 
более процентов акций (долей в уставных фондах) при-
надлежит государству (утверждены Постановлением 
Совета Министров Республики Беларусь от 27.12.2019 
№ 921 «О задачах социально-экономического развития 
Республики Беларусь на 2020 год»), являются:
•
рентабельность финансово-хозяйственной дея-
тельности;
•
отношение темпов роста страховых взносов по 
всем видам страхования к темпам роста расходов на 
ведение дела;
•
темпы роста страховых взносов по видам добро-
вольного страхования [1].
Утвержденные данным постановлением ключевые 
показатели эффективности являются исчерпывающи-
ми, а показатели социально-экономического развития, 
устанавливаемые другими постановлениями Совета 
Министров Республики Беларусь и нормативными пра-
