to furnish an accurate and complete interpretation of our results. If we do
not do this, our conclusions are at best incomplete, at worst potentially
misleading. We should clearly state the limitations of the test and the evi-
dence, our inferences, our assumptions, and the conclusions that follow from
them. We should explicate both what the results mean and what they do not
mean. We should resist the temptation to proffer only a conclusion that the
client wants to hear if there are other equally valid conclusions, perhaps based
on other assumptions. And yes, we do require access to case information to
do this in the most helpful and truthful fashion.
