Express Entry Program
The most popular and fastest way to apply for a Canadian PR Visa is through the Express 
Entry Program. It was started by the Government of Canada in January, 2015 and is the

fastest mode of applying for Canada Permanent Residency (PR) Status in which 
the process time is 9 to 12 months. The Express Entry program requires a minimum of 67 
points to become eligible and the total points accrued by the candidate are calculated based 
on their information.
Major six factors on which 67 points are calculated are following:
1.
Age
– Although there is no age limit to settle in Canada, maximum points are 
allocated to those who are in the age group of 18 to 35 years. (Maximum points 12)
2.
Education
- Educational qualifications at par with the Canadian Education Board 
establish that you will be able to support yourself and your family after moving to 
Canada. Therefore, a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent diploma or post-Graduation 
degree from a recognized university is necessary. (Maximum points 25 )
3.
Work experience
– Canada is fervent in inviting applications from skilled 
professionals through the Federal Skilled Workers program and the Federal Skilled 
Trades program. Hence, it is advantageous if you have work experience in occupations 
targeted by the Canadian Provinces. (Max points 15)
4.
Language proficiency
– Canada has two official languages – French and English.

and CLB tests are conducted, both are recognized by the IRCC where 6 bands in each

Adaptability
- If either you or your spouse has a blood relative in Canada then you 
are awarded extra points for adaptability. (Max points 10)

If a secondary applicant/spouse also scores CLB 5 in IELTS is awarded 5 points.

Job offer
- If you have an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) approved 
job offer from Canada, then that gives you extra 10 points. (Max points 10)
