In September 2021, I participated in the Cambridge Mathematics Teacher training course conducted
by the Cambridge Partnership for Education. This was training for teachers of the Presidential
Schools of Uzbekistan for five days full-time. During the training, we learned about the Cambridge
curriculum. We also learned what co-teaching is, how to organize the lesson, how to prepare a
lesson plan. And we learned how to work with assessment papers and their evaluation system.

Over the past 5 years, my students have won several math Olympiads. For example, about 10 of my
students have won in the regional stage of the American Mathematical Olympiad (AMO), in the
American Mathematical Competition (AMC 8, 10/12). In addition, two of my students won the 2021
Mathematical Olympiad in Uzbekistan. In addition, more than 10 students have won SEAMO,
SASMO, HKIMO, and other Olympiads.
In 2021, I was awarded the badge "30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan"
by the President

Why do you want to
participate in the Fulbright
TEA Program?
I have been working in the field of math teaching for 5 years and have gained teaching experience
during this period. I learned to work in the classroom, to communicate with children, to learn their
psychology. But sometimes I have met children who find the general lessons in a typical classroom
incomprehensible and require a special approach. This encourages me to avoid traditional teaching
and to teach using unusual methods. I also grew up as a teacher at the Presidential School. But the
fact that I still don’t have foreign experience makes me a bit of an obstacle to becoming a perfect
teacher. I would like to know more about the United States curriculum. I want to learn how the lesson
process is organized in them. This has several advantages for me. In particular, I work 5 days a
week and on the 6th day, I participate in seminar training with local schools. I have spoken there
several times before on the Cambridge curriculum, and if I study at the Fulbright TEA, I will now
study the American curriculum and apply it to schools in Uzbekistan, especially the Presidential
schools and their branch schools. By participating in this program, I will also be able to learn how to
prepare a student for future activities. Unlike in America, Uzbekistan teaches mainly pure
mathematics, which does not prepare the child for the future, and the student does not know how to
connect science with life. As a result, his interest in mathematics declines. I believe that these
problems have been studied and resolved in the United States program.
