#3 Smart Living and Augmented Being Digitalization could
realize the things that we have only seen in utopian movies. In a fully
digitalized world, we will be living in a smart home where every
action is either automated or voice-activated. A robot assistant will
help with chores. The fridge is self-ordering, and a drone is
delivering the groceries. Whenever we need anything, we will always
3D-print it. In the garage, an autonomous electric vehicle is on
standby to take us wherever we want.
When it happens, the connector between us and the digital world will
no longer be limited to our mobile phones. The interface will expand
to smaller devices that are wearable and even implantable in human
bodies—creating an augmented living. Elon Musk's Neuralink, for
example, is developing a computer chip implant to create a brain–
computer interface which allows humans to control computers with
their mind.
