The State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture 2020

Parties have highlighted the need for a process 
for monitoring and reviewing implementation 
of the PSMA, especially at this early stage of 
implementation. Parties adopted a questionnaire 
to review and assess the effectiveness of the 
PSMA, with FAO responsible for distributing it to 
the Parties in mid-2020. The consolidated results 
of the questionnaire will be presented at the 
third meeting of the Parties to the PSMA, which 
is to be held in Brussels, Belgium, in November 
2020. This meeting is to have a strong focus on 
assessing the effectiveness of the Agreement as 
per Article 24.2 of the PSMA.
