parts – traditional Japanese garments and western clothing. Between the two,
I like the traditional one and kimono is one of them. Basically, I wear kimono in
seasons and feel a great sense of comfort. Thank you for the question. Here
goes a brief description of the attire.
A wide variety of kimonos is available in Japan. They are made with different
fabrics like silk, wool and even with the synthetic fabrics. The kimono is mostly
used during the cooler seasons and months of the year because the fabrics are
heavier than the usual garment fabrics and there are multiple layers. If
someone puts them on during the ordinary days, it would be hard to manage
the cloth. Sweating is a very usual phenomenon then. Basically, the darker
colours are used during the cooler months of the year while the lighter colours
are used in summer days.
Kimono is available in multiple styles. It, in fact, ranges, from formal to casual.
But it comes with a basic T shape. Mostly people wear the casual type for their
regular activities and the reserve the formal ones for attending any occasion.
Besides, the style of wearing the attires is also different and they are available
in different colour and texture. Kimonos made with silk is the most desirable
one among everyone. People prefer to wear the silk-made kimonos in special
events and use the kimonos made with polyester or cotton fabrics for their
casual use. The dress looks stunning when worn but there are some issues with
wearing it. Everyone cannot wear the dress and needs external help. It
becomes difficult for the modern women to assemble the kimono as it has
over 10 pieces of parts. A prescribed way needed to be followed for the
purpose.
Kimono is a traditional dress for females. So, I do not wear it frequently.
Rather, I like to wear it marking any celebrations. In fact, kimono is mostly
worn on the national days. When the women of Japan came out on the street
wearing kimono, the view becomes gorgeous. The style of kimono wearing is
different for the married and single women in Japan. Being a single, I use the
furisode style for me and there are floor-length sleeves. I use the style for
attending any special occasion. Kimono is also worn by men on special
occasions like a marriage ceremony or any other formal occasions. But it is
difficult for me to assemble the parts and thus I am in need of support from my
mum. She helps me to assemble the separate parts together and make it look
nice. When I need to attend any formal occasion, I seek help from
professionals as well.
I like kimono so much for multiple reasons. In fact, this is a gorgeous outfit for
both men and women. But movement becomes a bit slower with kimono. But
the colours and patterns are attractive and also makes the people look
beautiful. The colours are basically matched with seasons to reflect the
seasonal environment. Besides, this is an expensive attire that everyone is
unable to afford. So, when I wear it, I feel lucky than other people and brings a
sense of gratitude to the Creator for allowing me to afford it. Based on the
facts, I like to wear this attire so much.
