3 In contrast to English, a preposition does not appear in the same clause directly
before som:
Den man som du pratar om . . .
The man of whom you are speaking
The man that you are speaking of . . .
4 When used as the subject of a relative clause vad is followed by som (see 5.11
(4)):
Vi vet inte vad som hände honom. We don’t know what happened to him.
