Hi, welcome to the main audio lesson for today. Today I want 
to read an extract from an amazing book by Tony Robbins. I want 
you to understand the points. If you don’t understand some of the 
new words you can look them up in a dictionary to understand 
all of the new words. Before starting, I want you to remember 
the GOLDEN RULES of the GET CLUB. Breathe deeply, have 
a huge grin on your beautiful smiling face, now remember move 
your body, and have a strong posture while listening to the lessons.

Right now I am going to read a little extract from the book  
“Re awaken Giant within” by Tony Robbins. Here we go!
Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing 
you must do is to raise your standards. When people ask me what 
really changed my life 30 years ago, I tell them that absolutely the 
most important thing was changing what I demanded of myself. 
I wrote down all the things I would no longer accept in my life, 
all the things I would no longer tolerate, and all the things that  
I aspired to become.
Think of the far-reaching consequences set in motion by men 
and women who raised their standards and acted in accordance 
with them, deciding they would tolerate no less. History chronicles 
the inspiring examples of people like Leonardo da Vinci, Abraham 
Lincoln, Helen Keller, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., 
Rosa Parks, Albert Einstein, Cesar Chavez, Soichiro Honda, and 
many others who took the magnificently powerful step of raising
 
their standards. The same power that was available to them is

available to you, if you have the courage to claim it. Changing an 
organization, a company, a country – even or a world – begins 
with the simple step of changing yourself. What does it really 
mean? Raise your standards? Some kind big saying right?
Ok, I will explain it here.
Raise your standards means that you have to turn “our shoulds” 
into “musts”. Most of the people say: “I should do that, I should 
read books, I should start going to the gym, I should do this,  
I should do that. But they never do it. The moment you decide you 
must do it, not just you should do it, is going to change your life 
for better indefinetely.”
